Thank you!!! Thats a good thing, if you thought it might be real... I usually keep my sculptures real simple, but once in a while I'll do a little more detail work.

the fur looks realy enough to run one's fingers through and such a contented little face, exactly the face the little black stray that I feed makes when she sleeps in the sun under my window

Hi, The cone means the selected temperature that you fire the piece at in the kiln, cone 6 is just over 2000* F. The temp used depends on the clay body type and the glaze effects you wish to get.
Electric kiln is what you would here if a potter has oxidation fired on their piece, which is allot like you home over but allot hotter, and Reduction would be a gas kiln which removes the oxegen out of the kiln during firing, they both give you different effects on the glazes. It is a whole science that I am still learning allot about. I have 2 electric kilns and that's what you will see most of my pieces fired at, of course, sometimes I bring a few pieces to a college that is an hour away from me and they will fire them in the gas kiln for me...
I don't mind the questions at all, I'll try to answer them the best I can...

thanks for the answers. and i mean every time i ask a question. when i said i dabbled i meant i made a couple bowls/ashtrays and simple scupltures in college most of which i gave away or didn't survive moves. i'm always impressed by your work Mrs. Thelen, thanks again.
